Injured solider needing help

Sean was one of my Adopted Soliders via Soldiers Angels - and he needs some help.

My name is Sean Halpin. I'm a Combat Medic in the U.S. Army. I've been in for almost three years now. I recently got pulled back early from a deployment in Afghanistan, because of an injured back. I now have Doctors appointments, MRI appointments as well as pain management appointments that are about an hours drive away.

A few weeks ago, the engine died in my car. I've been trying to scramble to find ways to afford purchasing a new (used) engine. Roughly $4000 is needed for the engine including labor to get my car back on the road.

I've tried getting personal loans from USAA (my insurance), as well as my bank, to no avail. My options are growing thin, very rapidly and I desperately need my car to get to my appointments.
